This photo book illustrates the new impressions Evy Angel formed of Brighton after she moved to Germany in 2012. Leaving Brighton behind after living there for almost two decades turned out to be a traumatising experience for her in many ways. It was only after moving to Germany in 2012 that she realised how unique Brighton really is. Being in a position to look at Brighton more from the outside, she gained a new perspective on this very open-minded city, developing more recognition and gratitude towards the ‘facilitator Brighton’ and the many opportunities this place has offered her family and herself when she lived there. This process also helped her to correct many of her opinions about the city and its people, as she realised the kindness and friendliness that had been embracing her and her loved ones during all those years in spite of the difficulties she also faced there at some points.
