Two young sisters are haunted by the ghost of their dead mother in this paranormal horror from director Andrés Muschietti. On the day after their parents are killed, Victoria (Megan Charpentier) and Lilly (Isabelle Nélisse) disappear from their suburban home without a trace. Five years later, a man out walking in the woods discovers the now feral girls living in a rundown shack. As the girls try to return to a normal life after being taken in by their uncle Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend Annabel (Jessica Chastain), chillingly ominous signs begin to convince the couple that, along with the girls, something else has come to stay.
