Membership of Brighton and Hove Libraries is free and open to all. There are 13 libraries in Brighton and Hove, as well as a mobile library and an Equal Access Centre. You can join at any one of our libraries by bringing proof of your address and signature. If you are under 16 you will need a parent or guardian's signature, and proof of their address.

From this page you can join the library using our online form. You will be given a temporary membership number and PIN which will allow you to use our online services and to reserve books.
To collect any reservations and borrow any items you will need to change your online membership to full membership by bringing your temporary membership number and PIN along with proof of your address to your nearest library.
Please note that if you are already a member of Brighton and Hove libraries you do not need to join again. Simply log in at the left side of the screen using your existing library card number and PIN to access your account.
