Membership of Brighton and Hove Libraries is free and open to all. You can join at any one of our libraries by bringing address details. If you are under 13 you must be accompanied by a parent or carer.

From this page you can join the library using our online form. You will be given a temporary membership number and PIN which will allow you to use our online services and to reserve books.

To collect any reservations and borrow any items you will need to change your online membership to full membership by bringing your temporary membership number and PIN along with address details to your nearest library.

Please note that if you are already a member of Brighton and Hove libraries you do not need to join again. Simply log in at the left side of the screen using your existing library card number and PIN to access your account.

Using your library card in the library for the first time

You will need to bring in your temporary borrower number and PIN along with address details to any Brighton and Hove library find your nearest library.
